The Men of the Unseen
Few books of wisdom speak of the Rijal al-Ghaib — the “men of the unseen,” beings said to influence the affairs and destinies of people. Each tradition understands them differently: some see them as angels, others as jinn, guardians of the days, or noble spirits. Whatever name you give them, many sacred texts describe them as men of destiny — and those who learn to honour their cycle are said to witness wonders.
I.The Daily Directions
In this tradition, the Rijal al-Ghaib occupy a particular direction on each day of the week. To align with their favour in your work, travel and business, you face the direction where they are said to dwell.
Keep this cycle in mind in all that you undertake — it is said that those who respect it see their efforts blessed.
II.Position Through the Month
By the days of the lunar month, the Rijal al-Ghaib are said to move through the directions, beginning at the eastern edge on the first day:
III.The Invocation
For those who wish to work with them, here is a prayer drawn from the book of knowledge Jawahir Khamsah — an invocation to the men of the unseen.
“Peace be upon you, O men of the unseen and noble souls. Help us with your special help, and look upon us with your special gaze.”
